Updates

Hi frans,

It has been a while.  Life has been really good and busy at the same time.  I enjoy staying busy because I don’t have time to think about unnecessary things that will fall into place.  Life is better when we don’t trip right?

I ran my first race ever and it was amazing.  It was a 5K Color Me Rad race and as you were running they threw color at you made out of cornstarch.  I jogged the entire thing and I am super excited to run the Turkey Run on Thanksgiving Day with some friends.

So I know I am not the only one to admit this but sometimes when you graduate from school you don’t care to see some of your peers face’s again?  Well, I have seen a lot of old faces and it was surprisingly a good thing.  I saw a lot of high and middle school friends that I have not seen since graduation on different occasions.  A girlfriend of mine threw a birthday party for her and her husband and it was a high school reunion for some of us.  It was a beautiful celebration and I am glad I went!

Another friend of mine is in town from the army and threw a couple of kickbacks (parties) and I was able to see a ton of middle school friends and it was refreshing to see how well everyone was doing.

We were grooving! This is like half of the New Augusta 8th grade cheer-leading squad haha
I was also able to go to the range and man o man…..that was an experience.  SO many emotions within 1 hour that I encountered and to successfully overcome a fear of mine was amazing.  I shot a gun! lol, im lame but when I first walked in…I was scared, and then I got in the back and learned how to work the glock and I was intimated, and then I was fearful of the way the guns reinforcement would feel on my shoulders lol, and then I was fighting with myself because if I didn’t pull the trigger I would have been upset for having the opportunity and not doing it.

Lilly learned how to walk.  LORD, be with us because she is busy and curious but she is super adorable!!!!!!   She turned 1 and we celebrated her birthday and had a huge turn up because we love her so much.

My girlfriend from college turned 25 years old and we went to dinner and road around the town in a limo.  It was a beautiful celebration and I am glad I attended.

LAST but not least, I am going back to JAMAICA for my birthday in 4 weeks.  I am so excited and we are going to have so much fun again.  AHHH!  I love staying busy and active. Comment below and tell me any fun plans or thoughts you may have planned for yourself. Xoxo kbye!

Hair did. Nail did. Everything did.

Sooo… I am not a huge advocate of the whole “Team Natural” vibe but yes, I have been natural for exactly one year this month.  I just don’t broadcast it as much as I feel the need to.  Going natural for those who don’t know simply means you are not allowing yourself to put any more perms or strong chemicals in your hair that could possibly damage your hair.  With that being said, I have been trying to train my hair to get back to the natural wavy curls that my hair was designed to be before I ever got a perm.   At this point, I have ways to go due to the ends of my hair being straight from the perm that I received over a year ago.  I have been looking at videos and also talking to one of my girlfriends about the process and she gives me ideas and what not to do with my hair.  I tried Bantu Knots out for the first time and it took me about 10 minutes! I parted my hair in sections and instead of braiding my hair…I twisted it and then bobby pinned it up.  When I took it down the next morning, I felt like I had a roller set and it was beautiful.  If you wash your hair and then twist it..the curls will be more defined but if you don’t it will be more biggerJ Check out the pics! xoxo
This was me..lol! Isn't she adorable?

i workout

Happy Hump Day!

I am sitting here…miserable….because my workouts have been so intense lately! My legs hurt so bad and I can barely walk from point A to B.  Even though I am in pain, I enjoy this feeling because that means I went HARD this past Saturday and Sunday.  I took my little cousin with me to run stairs downtown and she did such an amazing job.  I was proud of her! I increased my reps on Sunday by 10x, which made a total of 25 stairs.  Now that is why I am purchasing muscle rub and drinking my recovery protein shake.

On top of all these workouts, I have been doing no dairy, carbs, or sweets and I have lost 5lb from doing that.  It has its pros and cons but I am enjoying this process of toning up my body :] Check out the pics!  Xoxo, Kbye

You a bad girl and yo friends bad too

Seeing Beyonce live was an experience I will cherish forever.  She is such a wonderful performer and puts her all into every concert.  I remember her taking a moment and watching the crowd clap for her and I then noticed how humble and appreciative she was of her fans.  She got the crowd involved and would let those close to her sing into the microphone.  It was amazing!!! Then she saw a man almost pass out because she let him sing in the microphone and reached for the biggest hug ever! She is wonderful and I hope to see her in concert again.  We did not want that 2 hour concert to end….selfish right? Lol. I had so much fun with the girls and Nashville was beautiful! Check out the pictures!  We were so corny to make t-shirts but we got a lot of attention off them! lol...folks were coming up to us requesting to take pics with us and our awesome t-shirts.  we baddd :)  Xoxo Kbye!
