waiting to exhale

Hello friends! Happy Sunday to you:] Life has been busy for me lately… so far, I have 4 clients that I see on a weekly basis and they fill up my schedule very fast.  I am supposed to be getting 2 more this week, so I am super excited! Yay for Social Work!! I have been praying for direction when it comes to getting my masters.  I know it will be done though.

Hmmm…. What do you think about when you look at this picture?  I personally think about a lot of things.  The first thing that comes to my mind is growth. If my Christianity, dreams, relationships, and self-fulfillment do not scare me…then I am not growing.  Today, there are many things that I face that tend to “scare” me but that’s where my faith comes in and I have to just dive in and believe in Gods path for me.

One of my girlfriend’s and I were texting and when we text…we go hard.  We pour out our hearts to one another via text or in person.  I can tell we are going to be the exact same way when we are beautiful and grey in our 60s.   We just really want the best for each other when it comes to our growth.  Whether that’s the men we talk to, discussing our masters, and or future jobs…it doesn’t matter, we keep it real.  It’s important to have a good circle of people who will tell you straight up to get your life together when you need to be held accountable.  I love my friends!  Look at this text messages from this week.  I am a sucker for love and mushy stuff.

My response is the blue background!

Check out my nails below!!
Have a beautiful evening and a magnificent week! Kbye

Sunday :)

Oh hi!

I am so high off life right now because God is good to those who are faithful.  Lately I have been thinking about how good he has been to me and it amazes me.  Even when I shouldn't deserve it he continues to bless my life.

Literally this picture is how i am feeling in life..I am on “Rock Star” mode!

This year I have been doing such a great job at paying tithes.  I struggled with this topic for so long and now I understand that when you don’t pay tithes you’re stealing from the Lord.  We all want blessings and favor from the Lord right?? so we must continue to pay tithes….with a SMILE and he will bless us in return.   Since I started paying tithes, I have seen so many new doors open and I finally landed a great position that's within my degree!!!!!!! Remember 10% of your check is what we should be giving to our church.

I have:

Purchased Beyonce Tickets and Mike Epps

Went to Atlanta with my girlfriends for Jeni’s birthday

Purchased tickets for color me rad marathon.

Got 2 free international tickets for the future due to my plane being OVERBOOKED…now that’s favor!!!!!

I also think it’s important to plant seeds in other people’s lives and I have been able to do that by the grace of God.

Now that is only 5 things…the Lord has been good to me and I could make a list of 100 things.

Check out this picture… my feelings are on “off” mode.  Yes! I am at a place where i am no longer hurt or sad about any situations that I have been through because he is ordering my steps for my future and I am so grateful!..and honestly so many people are dealing with some serious sickness and diseases and we think our problems are the worst.  Tuh!? I had a reality check.

Well I just wanted to share some of my happiness with you! I need to get dressed and head to the Pacers vs Bulls game tonight with Jordan! I love Indianapolis and I love Chicago..so this will be a good game:)

Check out these pictures from Atlanta! We thought we were BAD ;)

Maybe I'm a dreamer.... xoxo

sunnnnday

Hi friends!
It’s Sunday evening and I am straight chillen.  I am excited to watch the Grammy’s in an hour and the Kardashians comes on as well.  I am kind of torn in between the two shows haha:] #shamefulKardashianFan.

Church was really good today! I was excited because my cousin and her two kids came with me.   This Sunday my pastor talked about “leftovers.”   Leftovers are unpleasant memories from the past that we have been through that we may try to erase or clear out… when really we should take those memories and be grateful for them because of how far the Lord has brought us.

I enjoyed hearing this message today and it was definitely uplifting! We can’t forget how far the Lord has brought us even if we think are down in the dumps.

Oh yeah Day 10, my annoying little puppy! I love this girl

Submit

Sunday Funday

Oh hi! I am in a very relaxed mood because…It's Sunday afternoon, it’s pouring raining, and I just got out of church! The rain brings so much peace and I love cuddling up on the couch while listening to the rain drops fall.  Today’s message was extremely powerful.    My pastor talked about "submission" and how the society struggles with it today.

We are supposed to be submitting to those who have authority over us.  Interesting statement right?   She talked about how we are supposed to submit to God, our spouses, employers, church institutions or anything else that claims authority.  When we submit to something or someone it is an act of obedience.   A lot of people struggle with submission because everyone wants to take charge and be the leader.  Myself included. She mentioned the covenant between a husband and wife and how the wife is to submit to her husband.  Even if he is wrong, she still must submit considering he is the man of the house.  Yikes!  Then she directed it to us single folks out here and how we are required to submit to God and not things that are of this world.
There are 24 hours in a day and we spend 8 to 12 hours of those hours at work.  With that being said, we are submitting to our job by obeying our managers/coworkers, policies, or other obligations that might be hard to submit to. For example, if your employer decides to drastically change your work hours without your consideration..submit and be obedient.  It could be a test that God wants to see you pass and he can change your situation if we learn to SUBMIT.

Same for paying tithes to your church institution.  Wherever, we are getting spiritually fed at is where we should pay our tithes.  Wherever your church home is..submit by giving the Lord his tithes and offering.  Submit yourself to God and he will become your covering.
Lastly, when we submit to things, it doesn’t mean you agree all the time.  It simply means that you understand your position.  I am working on this. Submit Submit Submit. Kbye!
